  In May of 2012 the Mount Forest Lions Club sponsored STOP-IN Fitness Program for youth which provides a socially relevant environment to support male adolescents and youth who require an extra level of supervision and support. The goal was to teach model and provide fitness training, body building and challenging workouts based on personal goal settings. This age group can easily fall into unhealthy lifestyle habits and addictions. It was well attended and the participants gained knowledge on a healthier lifestyle, better food choices and the fun of pushing oneself to the limit. This program was offered at no charge thanks to the generosity of the Lions Club.  The parents were appreciative and saw a growth in confidence and enthusiasm.

The Mennonite Savings and Credit Union staff visited our site and gave a financial donation towards our Summer Activity Program 2012 . We were able to include several high needs children at no charge.  They were able to participate in a variety of sports and physical activities, creative arts, music, drama and dance. In this supervised, supportive and structured environment that encourages positive interaction and fun among peers these children were able to enjoy a great summer.  Their parents were very appreciative and saw improvements in their child's confidence and enthusiasm.
